JEDDAH, 1 February 2004 — The Filipino community in Jeddah will have something to look forward to during the Haj holidays.
KASAPI Congress, composed of Filipino civic, professional, ethnic, and sports associations, will hold a mini-Olympics from Feb. 2 to 3 at the Trio Ranch and Country Club in Jeddah, according to a press release by the group.
Dubbed as Palarong Pinoy, the holiday festivities is envisioned to be a grand reunion of Filipino expatriates.
The event, which will be held under the auspices of the Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah, will serve as a refreshing celebration as Filipinos enjoy the camaraderie of each other. The event will surely recharge OFWs’ energies, maintain enthusiasm for their job afterwards, and help not only themselves but also benefit their company in terms of better employee morale and productivity.
The Palarong Pinoy KASAPI Congress is presently composed of various groups such as MAISA, Ilocano Association, Pangasinan Association, Gintong Alay Culture & Arts, BALO-I, Bicol Saro, AFCE, JAFEA, ABNA Marantao, APO, Bulacan Association, ACE, Tiaong Quezon Association, United Batangueno, United Caviteno, Cebuano Association, Ilonggo Association, Phil. Dental Association, Phil. Nursing Association, Phil. Medical Association and PICPA.
