DHAHRAN, 27 February 2004 — In the Swistar sponsored DCA League tournament. Bluestar CC outscored Unique CC in a thrilling finish. Unique won the toss and batted first only to lose their first wicket on the first ball and were reduced to 28 for 4 in the 5th over. Arvind took all the early wickets in his excellent spell of 4 for 15.
Later Moin and Idrees batted sensibly steering Unique to a decent total. Moin scored 28 and Idrees was unbeaten 49 runs with 27 runs coming in the 19th over with 4 consecutives sixes. Unique finished at 145 for 9.
Bluestar started the reply with a flurry of runs from the openers. At the end of 10 overs they were 102 for 1. Ashraf showed his prowess by scoring unbeaten an 71 (6 sixes and 5 fours) and Anwar scored 25 as Bluestar defeated Unique by 7 wickets.
Arabian Ace CC piled a huge total of 162 for 5 in the allotted 20 overs. Rizwan scored 40 and Ayaz an unbeaten 56 (8 fours). In reply, Sadafco CC were bundled out for 56. A. Majid took 3, Farook and Ibrahim 2 wickets each as Arabian Ace defeated Sadafco by 106 runs.
Ace Travels CC lost to Master CC, who on batting first scored 136 for 9 in 20 overs. Shihab scored 39. Khalid and Ifthikar took 2 wickets each. Ace Travels then could only make 123 in 20 overs. Aniyan scored 36 and Ifthikar 21. Ayub took 3 wickets as Master CC won by 13 runs.
