RIYADH, 10 March 2004 — The Saudi British Bank (SABB) has signed a construction contract for the extension of its head office building on Dhabab Street in Riyadh.
The bank signed the contract with Al-Suwaih Trading and Contracting Company at a ceremony attended by the bank’s managing director, Geoff Calvert, the executive director & chief operating officer, David Dew, its deputy managing director, financial services, Sulaiman Al-Hamdan, and general manager, Al-Suwaih Trading and Contracting Company, Suleiman Al-Suwaih. The signatories were Calvert and Suleiman Al-Suwaih.
“The new extension will be constructed on a 2,770 square meter area adjacent to the existing head office and will be linked to all floors by bridges,” said the bank’s general manager-property, Abdul Rahman Al-Manaa.
The new building, scheduled for completion by the end of 2005, will consist of 3 underground floors for car parks and seven floors for offices. The existing departments will be moved to the new complex during the first quarter of 2006, Al Manaa said.
