Registering for an ID Card After 113 Years

TAIF, 11 March 2004 — A 113-year-old man finally decided to register for a civil ID card after failing to do so for all these years. Residing in a village outside Taif city, the man took the decision to register for an ID during a visit to his daughter’s house in Taif. Employees at the civil department were stunned to see someone at this age without an ID. On further investigation they found out that the villager had not applied nor had been issued an ID card for 113 years.
