RIYADH: Dr. Noura bint Mazyad Al-Amro has been elected vice chairperson of the UN Human Rights Council’s advisory committee.
In her new role, Al-Amro will represent the Asia Group in the Geneva-based world body.
She said her election to the post reflected the international community’s recognition of the contributions made by Saudi Arabia toward helping strengthen human rights laws and tackle related issues in the Kingdom and around the world.
