BHOPAL, 23 March 2004 — The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and main opposition party Congress have adopted similar strategies to attract tribals in Madhya Pradesh to vote for them in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections. While senior BJP leader Deputy Prime Minister of India L.K. Advani planned the Bharat Uday Yatra in the tribal belts of Madhya Pradesh, Congress party President Sonia Gandhi is all set for a road show in the tribal regions. Sonia’s March 24 road show starts from Indore and will move across Khargone, Jhabua and Chhindwara. She will concentrate on Chhindwara from where senior leader and AICC General Secretary Kamalnath is contesting the Lok Sabha elections.
