New FIMAA Board of Officers Elected

JEDDAH, 26 March 2004 — One of the well-organized, biggest and Philippine Consulate (PHILCONGEN) recognized martial arts group in Jeddah — the Filipino International Martial Arts Association (FIMAA) in the Western Region — has a new Board of officers for the year 2004. This was stated at WOX Restaurant here recently.

Shihan Roger Paycana was elected president and he affirmed his vision and proposed project that includes the creation of FIMAA member’s development trainings and seminars, held at various locations (or members clubs) throughout the region with the cooperation and support of every willing FIMAA officers or members that can contribute and demonstrate any skills that benefits others.

The preparation and commencement of two FIMAA-sponsored tournament events per year with the overall support of all FIMAA members. Most importantly; the officers hope to move closer to its main objective — unification & camaraderie. The new FIMAA Board of Officers for the year 2004 are as follows; (President) Shihan Rodrigo “Adnan” Paycana, 7th Dan Red & White Belt of Bushido Shotokan Aikijiujitsu Zankai — BSAZ, (vice-president, internal affairs), Master Ernesto “Nestor” C. Suliva, 9th Dan Blackbelt of PAMAC International & PHILMASA International, (vice-president external affairs), Master James Nicha, 7th Dan Blackbelt of JUKA Freestyle International, (secretary-general), Sensei Gerardo “Gerry” de Jesus Renta Jr. 2nd Dan Blackbelt of International Shotokan Martial Arts Representation & Training — ISMART Karate Club, (asst. secretary-general), Renshi Macapagal “Mac” Tending, 4th Dan Blackbelt of Philippine Shotokan Karatedo International, (treasurer), Renshi Alfred Tizon, 5th Dan Blackbelt of Fist Shotokan Karate-Do International, (asst. treasurer), Sensei Alfredo “Jun” Loyola Jr. 2nd Dan Blackbelt of Association of Sontokan Karate-Do International, (auditor), Renshi Cesar Bencito, 5th Dan Blackbelt of PUMA and Aikilydiojitsu, (asst. auditor), Sensei Federico “Jhun” Torres Jr. 2nd Dan Blackbelt of Desert Falcon Martial Arts Club, (public relation officer), Sensei Cipriano “Joy” Baldove Jr. 3rd Dan Blackbelt of Philippine Martial Arts Combat Aikido, (Press relation Officer) Sensei Ildeponso “Pol” Poleras, 2nd Dan Blackbelt of Cerilla Karate-Do Shosikai, (Sgt-at-Arms), Sensei Nestor “Bebot” Cala, 3rd Dan Blackbelt of Flying Fist Karate Club, Sensei Adtong Saguia, 2nd Dan Blackbelt of Phickaju-IPSJ and Maestro Francisco “Frank” Solitario, 5th Dan Blackbelt of Doce Pares Combat Judo.
