RIYADH, 28 March 2004 — The International Computer Driving License (ICDL) has expanded its operations by accrediting 25 private local institutions and training centers in the Kingdom.
“The centers will offer ICDL’s computer training programs to the youth so that they become more competitive as they join the work force under Saudization,” said Dr. Sulaiman Al-Dhalaan, managing director of ICDL’s office in the Kingdom.
The ICDL programs teach basic computer skills needed in the workplace and everyday life.
Al-Dhalaan said that there has been a lot of interest in ICDL programs by different government institutions like the General Organization of Technical Education and Vocational Training (GOTEVOT), King Fahd University for Petroleum and Minerals, and King Khaled University.
