Microsoft Middle East and Africa has promoted Ali Faramawy, the company’s regional director for sales, marketing and services, to the role of regional director Middle East and Africa, and vice president of Europe, Middle East and Africa region (EMEA), effective April 1, 2004. Emre Berkin, the current vice president for Microsoft EMEA advances to chairman of Middle East and Africa region effective April 1, 2004.
