RIYADH, 2 April 2004 — An administration skills center is organizing a meeting to discuss the strategy of managing family companies and the legal risks they face under the motto “We Have the Solution” in collaboration with Majed Qaroub legal consultants at Jeddah Hilton.
Majed Mohammad Qaroub, lawyer and president of the scientific section said that during the meeting, 28 papers will be submitted by people from a variety of backgrounds. The meeting aims at reviving family companies in general and unifying them in face of changes.
Qaroub stated that there are currently over 200 family companies in the Saudi market with investments estimated at around SR250 billion. The meeting will be held in five sessions and will address issues such as Saudi company systems, features of finance companies, a comparison study of individual companies, the risks of commerce and industry companies, and the rights of women in family companies.
The meeting will include a section for businesswomen organized by Dar Al-Hekma College and headed by Dr. Nadia Baeshen, the general director of Al-Sayyida Khadija Bin Khuwailed Center for Businesswomen at Jeddah Chamber.
