Using video conference channels, Raya Holding’s annual staff meeting was witnessed by about 1,300 employees in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the Gulf and the US. The meeting was also the venue for a ceremony granting recognition to Raya’s achievers and excellence awards winners.
In his speech at the meeting, Medhat Khalil, chairman and CEO of Raya, announced the growth of Raya’s revenue from 88 million Egyptian pounds in 1998 to 757 million Egyptian pounds by the end of 2003, with a profitability that has exceeded 10 million Egyptian pounds.
With a focus on strengthening its ties with international technology suppliers, Raya has won numerous awards, becoming the preferred partner for vendors such as Microsoft, Oracle, Cisco Systems and Intel. This came as a result of Raya applying ISO standards and creating a pool of engineers and professionals certified by international associations and authorities in the various fields, including project management, quality assurance, after-sales service and several scarce specializations in Internet technology and security. With such qualified human resources, Raya is moving toward increasing the Arab presence on the world’s IT and telecommunications map.
