EMC has signed a value-added reseller (VAR) agreement with Maham Al-Khaleej Co. (MATCO) as a way to meet the growing demand in the Kingdom for integrated storage solutions, especially in the major enterprise sector.
By entering the relationship, EMC now has the opportunity to work more extensively with the enterprise sector using MATCO’s experience. MATCO will now offer its customers a wide range of EMC’s hardware, software, and networking storage solutions.
Jointly, EMC and MATCO plan to boost awareness across Saudi Arabia about the concept of Information Lifecycle Management (ILM), the management of the changing value of data from its inception to disposal. ILM enables organizations in the Kingdom to significantly reduce the cost and complexity associated with managing growing amounts of information. Some businesses in the Kingdom already estimate that their data may double every six to nine months, especially in data-intensive corporate sectors.
