HAIL, 28 April 2004 — Two days after the theft, a man in Hail returned a car that he had stolen to its original owner, Madinah reported. The owner was surprised to see his car in front of the house with a note inside. In the note, the thief apologized to the owner, saying that he was sorry for having stolen the car. He explained that he had to steal it because he had no money and could not afford to take a taxi. He used the car to do his private business which included visits to government offices. He asked the car’s owner to be understanding and accept the apology. The owner called the police who found that though the window had been broken, nothing else was damaged and nothing was missing.
