RIYADH, 7 May 2004 — Unlimited VI, with total pinfalls of 4,187, recorded the first shutout victory with a 25-0 whitewash of HTG-Margie to become Team of the Week during the 17th session of the NAK Park USA Sunday Night Bowling League 8th Conference at the Riyadh Bowling Club lanes. D’Invaders also had a brilliant outing against Saudi Tornado as they chased leaders D’Marvelous, who rebounded from a rare defeat to beat Al Mishari Pinbusters 19-13 on total pinfalls of 3,881-3,798.
D’Invaders won by 25-3 on total pinfalls of 4,157-3,447. Fidel Ferrer of the D’Invaders won the Bowler of the Week award, hitting the high series of 954 on lines of 210, 243, 237, 224 and 40 handicap.
Schneider Electric humbled Blue Blood 21-12 (3,929-3,837) and Jadawel Bowling Club downed Okey Lang 17-13 (3,849-3,772) in other matches.
Coming off big 20-9 and 20-14 victories over Schneider Electric and Blue Blood, Unlimited VI benefited from a pressure-free round as Ding Balagtas fired 868 to go with the 861 by Ely Fanugao, 843 by Pido Villarosa, 811 by Rod Tagaban and 804 by Saud Egil.
Ferrer’s sparkling series at D’Invaders was complimented by full games of 844 by Fernie Ballano, 799 by Ronald Bautista, 729 by Romy Zafe.
Cas Encila shot the second best individual score of 938 to lead an Schneider onslaught that also featured 794 from Boy Mirando, 765 from Resty de Jesus, 752 from Marvin Arocena and 680 from Bandr Arcilla.
