QATEEF, 10 May 2004 — A young man spent his wedding night in hospital after he was accidentally shot by one of the invited guests, Okaz reported. It is a custom in Qateef to fire shots into the air to celebrate happy occasions. The man was fortunately in stable condition and the celebrations continued. Police have banned the use of firearms on such occasions.
