Thieves Throw Spanner in Their Own Wheels

RIYADH, 14 May 2004 — Police arrested a gang of car thieves 24 hours after they stole a car, Al-Riyadh newspaper reported. The criminals crashed into the rear of the car and when the driver got out, a gang member jumped in and drove away. But the thieves used the cell phone he had left in the car to call their friends. So police had no difficulty in tracing the call and arresting the thieves.
