MAKKAH, 15 May 2004 — Two companies face charges in city courts for the deaths of two children who fell into holes in the grounds in Makkah, a municipality source said.
The companies had failed to apply regulations and left the work sites in dangerous conditions, the source stated. Discussions are being held to place companies who neglect their projects and responsibilities on a blacklist, the source said. The municipality registered more than 160 violations for companies related to construction projects in Makkah.
