BAHA, 18 May 2004 — A high school teacher nearly lost his life during a biology experiment, reported Okaz. Ahmad Hussein Al-Ghamdi was using a snake to demonstrate various points to students when the reptile bit him. Al-Ghamdi quickly put the snake back into its container lest it bite one of the students; he then went immediately to the local hospital. After receiving the antidote he went home but had to return later when gangrene set in and almost caused the loss of his hand.
