RIYADH, 18 May 2004 — A charity program in aid of the Riyadh Orphanage Society (ENSAN) will be held from May 18-21 at the Hokair Land at Exit 10 on the highway to King Khaled International Airport.
Prince Miteb ibn Abdullah and Princess Jawahir bint Muhammad will be special guests at the inaugural function, which will be confined to invitees only.
“The charity fair will help 6,000 families that are directly under the care of the society,” said its director of projects Ferial Kurdi, who is also director of social services at King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital here.
Tickets of SR100 each for the program will be available at the gate.
Students from the Indian International School in Riyadh will entertain the visitors with a variety show, while groups from the Egyptian, Moroccan, Palestinian and Syrian communities will also participate in various programs during the three-day event.
Kurdi said needy families are given a monthly food, education and clothing allowance. The society organizes at least six functions a year to raise funds, he said.
