JEDDAH, 21 May 2004 — The 1st SETE Inter-Department volleyball tournament opened recently at the company's camp in North Obhur. The tournament serves as the second leg of a yearlong sports program initiated by the company for its employees.
Earlier, SETE launched and successfully concluded a chess, table tennis, and darts tournament.
SETE General Manager Richard Bacos congratulated the organizers for the successful staging of previous games.
The first game was between Workshop and Administration I, the first set going to Workshop 25-14.
Administration came back strong in the second set, using their height advantage to force a commanding 25-10 victory. But after the break, Workshop played a more aggressive game in the deciding set to come up winners 15-8.
Nel Martin was the master of ceremony that included an intermission number from the newest dance group in SETE, the "F-5."
