Two Commit Suicide, One Murdered

JEDDAH, 22 May 2004 — A 42-year-old Indian was found dead in his house in northeastern Hafr Al-Batin’s Aziziya neighborhood on Thursday, Okaz daily reported. Muhammad Ali Jinnah hung himself from a ceiling fan in the kitchen.

A friend said that he noticed some changes in Jinnah’s behavior after he had transferred his sponsorship to a car decoration shop following the death of his sponsor.

The friend added that Jinnah had shaved his beard a day before he committed suicide. Police took the body to hospital and confirmed the cause of death.

In another incident, an employee of a company in the Eastern Province committed suicide in a bathroom at his housing compound by cutting his vein using a blade.

The man was suffering from psychological problems, the paper said.

Neighbors informed authorities after they found water flowing from the bathroom.

Also in Hafr Al-Batin, a 22-year-old Saudi died of stab wounds. Relatives took the youth to hospital but doctors failed to save his life. Police have arrested the suspected killer.
