RIYADH, 30 May 2004 — Minister of Health Dr. Hamad Al-Manei has confirmed that health insurance is compulsory for all employees including drivers and domestic servants, Al-Madinah newspaper reported.
The minister also asked the media not to blow medical errors out of proportion, according to the Arabic language daily.
Al-Manei said health insurance applies to all, whether in small or large companies and establishments.
He said the decision was meant to ensure that medical treatment is available to all residents of the Kingdom.
