The Dabbagh Group has selected mySAP Business Suite to integrate its business processes for a sharper competitive edge and faster response time to market demands, eyeing higher profitability for the company. Disclosing details of the project, Mohammed Al-Batal, sales manager, SAP Arabia, SAP AG’s exclusive regional distributor, said Dabbagh Group will go with an ERP implementation starting with its Food and Agriculture portfolio of business and later will go for scaling up in a phased manner. Satyam will be the partner company responsible for the Dabbagh Group’s mySAP implementation.

“We are very excited about being chosen by the Dabbagh Group since it enhances SAP’s reputation in the Kingdom as well as in the region for partnering with such a reputable and trailblazing business group,” said Essam Enany, president, SAP Arabia. “We consider it a challenging task to work with such a large business house with wide and varied activities spread across many industry segments.”

The Dabbagh Group’s Food & Agriculture portfolio is actively involved in the production and marketing of food products, processed livestock, animal feed, veterinary medicines and the distribution of agricultural equipment. Peter Wolfe, VP, Food & Agriculture Portfolio, Dabbagh Group explained: “The implementation of mySAP Business Suite is a key strategy in our management of a high growth business. We expect SAP to help us further increase the service levels we offer to customers.

“Our Food & Agriculture portfolio of business spans the entire GCC and the wider region and comprises three separate companies — Supreme Foods Company (SFC), Agricultural Development Company (ADC) and Supreme Foods Processing Company (SFPC). There are also two international JVs — Ross Breeders Anatolia, Turkey and Supreme Suguna Foods Company Limited, India. We are confident that mySAP Business Suite will integrate the different Business Units in the portfolio.”

Wolfe added that after the successful completion of the initial phase of implementation, various enhancements would be added on to each department of the Food & Agriculture portfolio to fine-tune the functionality of the ERP solution. The group plans to scale up the potential of the mySAP Business Suite gradually adapting the ERP platform to other business portfolios which include Energy, Real Estate, Technology, Media & Telecommunications and Financial Services.
