DUBAI, 1 June 2004 — Air Arabia, which bills itself as the Middle East’s first budget airline, announced yesterday it will fly to the Egyptian city of Alexandria daily from June 1. The daily service is “in response to increasing customer demands and an effort to offer more convenient travel for passengers,” the airline said in a statement. Air Arabia, a Sharjah government-owned airline, launched services at the end of October and flies to Bahrain, Beirut, Damascus and Aleppo, Kuwait, Assyut, Doha, Colombo, Shiraz and Tehran.
