Apartheid Exhibition in Jeddah

JEDDAH, 8 June 2004 — An exhibition highlighting the struggle for freedom in South Africa was opened here Saturday night by Jeddah Mayor Abdullah Al-Muallami. The exhibition at Beit Al-Balad opposite the National Commercial Bank is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. till June 14. Produced by the Apartheid Museum, Johannesburg, and commissioned by South Africa’s Department of Foreign Affairs, it is touring the world to celebrate ten years of democracy in South Africa, and comes to Jeddah from Cairo en route to Riyadh.
