Air Arabia to Fly to Three Saudi Cities

DUBAI, 14 June 2004 — The UAE’s budget airline Air Arabia is to fly to three Saudi destinations from June 20.

“We are pleased to announce the start of operations to Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam,” said Air Arabia Chairman Sheikh Abdullah ibn Muhammad Al-Thani.

“This is a major achievement for the first low-cost carrier in the region, and I would like to thank the Saudi government and aviation authorities for their role in facilitating our operations,” he added.

Flights from Sharjah to each of the three cities will be scheduled twice a week. Dammam flights will leave Sharjah every Monday and Thursday at 10.30 a.m., Jeddah flights every Wednesday and Sunday at 8.30 a.m. and Riyadh flights every Tuesday and Saturday at 10.30 a.m, according to a press release.
