JEDDAH, 18 June 2004 — There is no doubt the grueling matches of the Inter-Company Family Bowling League organized by the Filipino Tenpin Bowlers of Jeddah (FTBJ) at the World Bowling Center is getting tougher every week.

Philippine National Bank (PNB) and the Qatar Airways team keglers unleashed devastating forms to improve their standings in the 9th week of the keenly contested competition.

The PNB squad maintained their standing as the current league leaders when they added 47 big points in their card. Emily Payongayong and Romy Vargas scored 591 and 561 in three matches. Beth Concepcion and Pinky Acato added 483 and 465 respectively while Goying Salazar shared 403 series scratch in three outings.

Qatar Airways team keglers snatched 41 points. Nap Patayan, Cris Villavelez and Rey Calaranan together Fully Primo and Susan Patayan sustained an overall team output of 2,764.

Nap led by carding a series of 541 and followed by Villavelez (526) and Calaranan (525). Fully fired 508 series scratch in three sets while Susan scored 460 series.

G&T Bowlers collected 37 points through Danny Manriza and Joey Salvador who rolled a separate series of 539 and 527. Rene Santiago downed a series of 506 while Tess Marasigan and Grace Siasoco pocketed a series of 450 and 426. G&T Bowlers produced an overall team series handicap of 2,706.

Berks II team keglers snatched 36 points through Jay Perez, Lavern Laderas, Linda Escondo, Gil Ordonez and Jess Pineda. Perez led with a series of 540 with Laderas with 530 series followed by team-mates Linda (508) and Pineda (494).

Sunsilk Shampoo and Option Investment recorded 35 and 32 points, respectively. Leading Sunsilk Shampoo was the duo of Danny Bautista (562) and Fatima Jintarat (523) while on top in the Option Investment team was Zaldy Parinas with 590 series.
