RIYADH, 18 June 2004 — The Jarir Group of Companies Inter-Department Football Tournament kicked off at the Jarir Staff Accommodation, Sulay Area — Riyadh.
Johnny Castillo, the Tournament’s Head of Organizing Committee along with Manny Gatpatan announced the participation of three teams headed by the Office Team with members M. Abdulrahman, Ali Najai, Tony Mendez, Adel Zaharani, Mahmoud Farag, Fathi Ibrahim, Abdul Hakem F., Hussaim Moashi, Hassan Somalie, M. Sabri, Ahmed Aquaila and M. Irshad Mubeen. Team Manager is Abdullah Mashari and Coach is Mahmoud Farag.
The Showroom Team has M. Fantoukh as their team Manager, Fuhaid ibn Fuhaid as coach and members are Fuhaid ibn Fuhaid, Fahd Maqbil, Fahd Al Laheem, Ahmed Naji, Elham Mubeen, Mubarak, M. Magrabi, M. Saeed, Waleed Al Rashid, M. Fadel, Shadi Lakud and Satam Al Otaibe.
The Warehouse team manager is Abdul Razak, and the coach is Abdul Tawab. Their members are Emad Humam, Abdul Tawab, Yahya Abdul Munsif, Saji Joseph, Emanuel Kurian, Fahd Omar, Nawas, Mohammad Hakme, Mohd. Hassan Shata, Abdul Hamid, Rachid Laachoub and Vasanthe Victor.
This month-long tournament featured the parade of participating teams and Oath of Sportsmanship during the opening ceremony.
The first match between the Office and the Showroom teams saw the latter triumph with 5-2 scores.
Games will be played every Sunday and Tuesday at 9:00 p.m. and this event is expected to conclude on June 27.
