JEDDAH — The Dar-ul-Ilm Educational Committee will organize short-term summer courses on Islam for students from July 10 to Aug. 31 (Saturday to Wednesday 7.30 p.m. to 10 p.m.).
“Sessions will be held separately for boys and girls. They will be given practical training in Wudoo, Namaz, Haj and Umrah,” said Muhammad Abdul Qadeer Taher on behalf of the organizers.
Topics included in the courses are oneness, faith, five pillars of Islam, Seerah of Prophet Muhammad, cleanliness, ablution, bathing, fasting, zakah and Islamic way of life. Courses will also cover Tahfeez (memorization of the Qur’an including important suras with Tajweed and translation in Urdu) and memorization of 40 Hadiths.
On completion of the courses, participants will be given certificates and awards at a ceremony where students will take part in a quiz competition and exhibit their knowledge. Transport is available for students. For more details, interested students can call Dar-ul-Ilm on Tel. 673-0262.
