JEDDAH, 2 August 2004 — Twenty Saudi employees have been nominated to join the MBA program of ALJ Community Services Programs, an affiliate of Abdul Latif Jameel Group.
The ALJ Administrative and Leadership Development Fund will meet the academic expenses of the students.
The students were nominated from both private and public sectors including the National Guard, Health Ministry, General Organization for Social Insurance as well as from Savola and Siemens and other private firms, the company said in a press statement.
Muhammad Jameel, chairman of the board of directors of ALJ Community Services Programs, recently met the nominated students and emphasized his organization’s desire to offer the service to employees of all government and private institutions in the country.
“We have selected the universities for the MBA program with utmost care,” Jameel said, adding that they are located in different parts of the world. The fund will finance the students’ expenses on condition that they pay the money back in easy installments after being employed.
Students intending to receive the organization’s scholarship must pass a personal interview, make correspondence with the approved universities, meet the universities’ academic requirements such as English language test and get unconditional admission.
