RIYADH, 19 August 2004 — King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) is making elaborate arrangements to stage the e-Document Forum 2004 in Riyadh on Sept. 20 and 21.
The event, the largest of its kind in the region, is expected to attract over 500 IT experts, professionals and leaders from government and private sectors.
Fifteen local and international speakers will participate.
“The e-Document Forum will be held for the second time in Riyadh, the center of the largest and fastest IT growing market in the Middle East,” the general director of information systems at KACST and supervisor of the forum, Hamad Al-Sadoun, told Arab News.
He said the main objective of the event is to create a powerful meeting platform for senior government officials, decision makers, IT professionals, and industry leaders.
“It would offer an ideal opportunity for constructive debate and interaction, networking, exchange of ideas and sharing knowledge and expertise among those interested in the IT field,” he added.
Main topics tabled for discussion include electronic document management, content management and workflow systems.
“Speakers from leading industry, consulting firms, research centers and government bodies will address the latest technologies, strategies and new trends in addition to case studies and lessons learned,” Al-Sadoun said.
An exhibition will be running parallel to the forum to showcase the latest technology, solutions, products and services related to electronic document and record management, document imaging, content management and workflow systems.
