LONDON, 24 August 2004 — Saudi Research & Marketing Group (SRMG) signed an agreement here yesterday with Arab Press United Co. (APUC) for the printing and distribution of the Lebanese newspaper Almustaqbal in Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Azzam Al-Dakhil, managing director of Saudi Research & Publishing Company, signed the deal for SRMG, while Hani Hamoud, chief editor of Almustaqbal, signed for the Lebanese firm.

The accord came after Saudi Distribution Company, an affiliate of SRMG won the approval from the Culture and Information Ministry in Riyadh to print and distribute the Lebanese daily in the Kingdom.

“We hope that this agreement will strengthen cooperation between the two companies,” Al-Dakhil said. The agreement came after a series of meetings in London, Riyadh and Beirut, which started early this year.
