Effat College’s Adult Literacy Campaign

JEDDAH, 3 September 2004 — Effat College is launching an adult literacy campaign tomorrow. The campaign, supported by Princess Sarah Al-Anqari, wife of Makkah Governor Prince Abdul Majeed, aims to eradicate both alphabetical and cultural illiteracy among women.

The program, to run daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. for six days, will consist of seminars focusing on six main themes — intellectual literacy (accessing and analyzing correct information), religion, society, health, environment and safety.
