Al-Ghalayini Heads Saudi-Syrian Council

JEDDAH, 14 September 2004 — Basil Al-Ghalayini, CEO of BMG Financial Advisors, has been elected with majority votes as president to the Saudi-Syrian Businessmen Council. Hamed Al-Shuwayer and Abdulaziz Al-Jasser were elected as deputies. Since its foundation in 1991, the council has been promoting bilateral trade and investments between the Kingdom and Syria. The main objectives of the council include introducing businessmen from both sides to the investment opportunities in the Kingdom and Syria, developing and retaining business relations between the business communities and decision makers in both countries, assisting members in overcoming any obstacles, and promoting exports training and technology transfer as well as joint ventures, aside from assisting businessmen of both sides in solving their commercial problems and conflicts.
