JEDDAH, 9 October 2004 — Al-Ittihad struck once in each half to beat Al-Qadisiyah 2-0 in the King Fahd Cup Soccer Tournament here yesterday.
The victory left them third behind Al-Shabab and Al-Nasr on 13 points while Qadisiyah stay ninth with five points.
At the Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium here, Ittihad went ahead in the 4th minute through Marzouk Al-Otaibi and despite dominating the proceedings had to wait till injury time for a Hamza Idrees strike that rounded off the tally.
Meanwhile, the Saudi national team left for Jakarta to play the Indonesian national team in the Asian Zone World Cup qualifier on Wednesday.
