RIYADH, 26 October 2004 — The grand iftar party for all Sri Lankans living in the Kingdom will be held at the Sri Lankan Embassy in Riyadh on Thursday.
The party is being organized by a group of Sri Lankan philanthropists in the capital on the initiative of Sri Lankan Ambassador Ibrahim Sahib Ansar who will be the chief host at the breakfast. Separate arrangements have been made for women and children.
A prominent Sri Lankan religious scholar will speak on the significance of Ramadan before the breakfast begins. Typical Sri Lankan dishes will be served at the iftar.
“The party provides a good platform for Sri Lankans to meet and greet one another,” Ambassador Ansar told Arab News.
