RIYADH, 9 December 2004 — Two Indian parliamentarians are scheduled to address the alumni of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) at Riyadh Palace Hotel in the capital tomorrow. They are Amar Singh, member of Rajya Sabha and general secretary of Samajwadi Party, and Akhilesh Singh Yadav, member of Lok Sabha and son of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav.
The function is being organized to commemorate the 187th birthday of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, founder of AMU. More than 600 Indians are expected to attend. Those who wish to join the Sir Syed Day dinner may contact Jawaid Hyder (050 3293 498) or Mohammad Asim Khan (050 7806 398).
