Iraqi Minister Sets Islamabad Visit

ISLAMABAD, 19 December 2004 — Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari arrives in Islamabad today for talks with the Pakistani leadership on the security situation and reconstruction of Iraq. Foreign Ministry spokesman Masood Khan said he hoped the visit would strengthen bilateralrelations. Pakistan has turned down US requests to commit troops to Iraq but says it would reconsider if asked by the UN and Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC).
