Kingdom World Cup Team to Enter Training Camp Named

JEDDAH, 20 January 2005 — The Saudi Football Federation President Prince Sultan ibn Fahd has approved the list of 28 players named to the Saudi national soccer team training camp in preparation for the World Cup qualifying match against Uzbekistan on Feb. 9.

The Kingdom team candidates, as recommended by national soccer coach Argentinian Gabriel Calderon, will begin training at the Prince Faisal ibn Fahd Stadium in Riyadh on Jan. 23.

The players selected for possible inclusion to the national team to play against the Uzbeks were: Muhammad Al-Daie, Mansour Al-Nagaie, Muhammad Sharifi, Hamad Al-Muntashiri, Reda Tukar, Hadi Sharifi, Zakareya Al-Haddaf, Abdul Majeed Al-Tarki, Hussein Abdul Ghani, Saud Kariri, Ahmad Al-Dokhi, Saleh Al-Sagri, Tayseer Al-Jasim, Ahmad Al-Bahri, Khaled Aziz, Abdu Hakami, Manaf Abu Shgeer, Muhammad Al-Shalhoub, Mansour Al-Thagafi, Saad Al-Zahrani, Yassir Al-Qahtani, Hamza Idrees, Abdullah Al-Jamman, Ibraheem Suwaeed, Waleed Al-Jizani, Muhammad Al-Anbar, Abdul Rahman Al-Qahtani and Naser Al-Shamrani.
