SHARJAH, 1 February 2005 — Dubai will have the Middle East’s first and the world’s largest indoor snow play area at the Snow Park at the Mall of the Emirates developed by Majid Al Futtaim Investments.
Part of the Mall of the Emirates’ Ski Dubai development, the park will provide a unique entertainment experience for all ages, complementing the range of other exciting experiences Ski Dubai offers.
The park, with a total area of 3,000 square meters, is scheduled to be ready by September 2005. “Our aim is to provide an introduction to snow for all ages and all skill levels. The addition of the Snow Park area gives everyone the opportunity to just play in real snow, partake in fun activities and enjoy the unique surroundings,” says Phil Taylor, chief executive of Ski Dubai. “Ski Dubai’s Snow Park will have something for the snow enthusiast and the not so energetic.”
The Snow Park will offer features and activities that include tobogganing hills, twin track bobsled racing and snowball shooting gallery with an authentic mountain environment with frozen waterfalls, rocky outcrops, tree formations and fresh snow everyday. It will also have a large observation tower, offering a view of the entire resort, including the skiers and snowboarders on the slopes.
