DUBAI: Mexico’s Fatima Bosch was crowned the winner of the 2025 Miss Universe pageant in Bangkok on Thursday.
Veena Praveenar Singh, representing the host country Thailand, was named first runner-up.

The other top-five contestants represented the Philippines, Venezuela and Cote d’Ivoire.
The show began with 30 out of 120 candidates advancing to the swimsuit segment. From that group, 12 moved to the evening gown round, and five reached the final Q&A stage.
This year marked the debut of a contestant from Palestine, Nadeen Ayoub, and the first time an Emirati, Mariam Mohamed, represented the UAE.
Other Arab nations represented included Egypt, Lebanon, Iraq and Jordan.
