RIYADH: The General Directorate of Border Guard celebrated Saudi and International Volunteer Day on Friday at its headquarters by reviewing its most prominent efforts and achievements in its work and community initiatives throughout 2025, alongside various associations, volunteer teams and government partners.

On the day, organizations and individuals thank volunteers and encourage more people to join volunteer efforts for a better world.

Earlier, Riyadh Municipality announced the launch of the Riyadh Volunteers Day initiative on Dec. 8, during which a large number of volunteers will carry out environmental and field work across the capital’s neighborhoods, aiming to improve the urban landscape and enhance quality of life, in line with the goals of Vision 2030.

The program seeks broad participation from all sectors, including government agencies in education, health, environment, security and military, as well as the private sector, NGOs and media outlets.
