Divorced as a Student and Remarried as a Principal

MAKKAH, 20 February 2005 — A 60-year-old man married his first wife for the second time after he had divorced her 20 years ago, Al-Madinah reported. The couple used to be in constant fight because the husband wanted the wife to quit her school education. When she refused his persistent demand he divorced her after they had two children. But the couple continued to be in contact because of the children and after 20 years, after she became a school principal, the husband asked her if she could remarry him, and she readily agreed. The children were as happy as the parents at the wedding. The husband said, “I divorced her as a student and remarried when she is a school principal, and that makes a big difference”.
