JEDDAH, 21 February 2005 — The Saudi-British conference, which is to be opened in London today, will focus on strengthening economic and investment cooperation between the two countries, according to Prince Turki Al-Faisal, Saudi ambassador to the United Kingdom. “The main thrust of the conference is to expand joint investments in both countries,” Al-Riyadh Arabic daily quoted the ambassador as saying. Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal will lead the Kingdom’s delegation to the conference titled “Two Kingdoms: The Challenges Ahead.” The Saudi delegation will include Commerce and Industry Minister Dr. Hashem Yamani, State Minister Abdullah Alireza and Amr Al-Dabbagh, governor of the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA).
