KFUPM Offers Eight-Week Arabic Course

DAMMAM, 25 February 2005 — An eight-week course for non-Arabic speakers is being held in the Eastern Province from Feb. 26 to April 20.

The course is being conducted by the Islamic and Arabic Studies Department of King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM). Four lectures will be distributed in two days per week, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

A fee of SR500 is being charged per participant. The course includes basics, grammar and structures. “The aim is to prepare students with effective oral and written skills of Arabic language along with listening and other communication skills,” said Dr. Obaid S. Al-Abdali, supervisor, PR & Information, KFUPM.
