Pilgrim Gives Birth in Police Car

MADINAH, 25 February 2005 — A pilgrim from the Far East gave birth in a police car as she was being transferred to Al-Welada Hospital here. She was walking from the holy mosque back to her accommodation when labor pain started. Her husband stopped a police car and requested a lift to the nearest hospital. But before the car reached the hospital the woman had her newborn baby in her hands.
