Amjad Shaker Named Etisalat PR Manager

JEDDAH, 2 March 2005 — Amjad Shaker has been appointed public relations manager of Ettihad Etisalat, the Kingdom’s second mobile operator. He will take over as the company’s PR chief on March 12, a press statement said. Shaker has more than 15 years experience in media and public relations. He stated his career as a newscaster at Saudi Arabian Television’s Channel II before becoming its correspondent during the second Gulf War. He has also worked for Samba, Anderson Consultancy and King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center before joining Kingdom Holding Company in 1997 as executive director for public relations and media.
