RIYADH, 14 March 2005 — Saudi Arabia’s central bank foreign assets rose 7.8 percent in January to $94.5 billion, according to figures published by the bank. A balance sheet of the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency assets seen by Reuters showed deposits with banks abroad rose to SR67.68 billion ($18.05 billion) in January, up 40 percent from December.
