ARAFAT: Sheikh Ali Al-Hudhaifi, the imam of the Prophet’s Mosque, delivered the Arafat sermon at Namirah Mosque on Tuesday.

It was attended by Makkah Deputy Gov. Prince Saud bin Mishaal, Grand Mufti Sheikh Saleh Al-Fawzan, Minister of Islamic Affairs Sheikh Abdullatif Al-Alsheikh, and President of Religious Affairs Sheikh Abdulrahman Al-Sudais.

In the sermon, Al-Hudhaifi emphasized that Hajj is a fundamental pillar of Islam rooted in absolute monotheism and submission to Allah, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

He underscored that the pilgrimage serves as a vital platform for mutual acquaintance, harmony, cooperation, and unity among Muslims of all nationalities and backgrounds.

Al-Hudhaifi noted that a proper pilgrimage requires good conduct, truthful speech, and the avoidance of sins, disputes, and partisan or political slogans.

The sermon also highlighted the core pillars of Islam, the importance of fearing Allah, and the universal laws of divine support for believers.

Al-Hudhaifi outlined the sequential steps of the Hajj rituals, reminding pilgrims to maintain tranquility, avoid overcrowding, and strictly follow crowd-management regulations to protect public safety.

Concluding the sermon, he prayed for the acceptance of the pilgrims’ rituals, the unity of the Muslim world, and the prosperity of the Saudi leadership in their continuous service to the Two Holy Mosques.

Following the address, the assembled pilgrims performed the Dhuhr and Asr prayers combined and shortened, in accordance with the prophetic tradition.
