CAIRO, 12 April 2005 — After an absence of over 20 years, prominent Egyptian actress Sofia Al-Omari will return to the big screen in the new film “Sooner or Later”.
In the film, Sofia will star alongside Kung Fu champion Yousef Mansour and American actor Mathews Hues.
Sofia revealed that she had met with Yousef, who resides in the US, during his visit to Egypt along with Mathews and had given him her initial approval to star in the film that will be shot in mid-July in Egypt and New York.
Sofia is keen to resume her role as a goodwill ambassador to the United Nations. The actress is to take part in a number of seminars regarding the important role Egyptian women play in society, with the cooperation of the National Council of Motherhood.
